You cannot drive your own vehicle on the safari tracks. All visitors must use official forest department buses or jeeps. Drives last 2.5 to 3 hours.

Daily safaris run from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited during the ride to minimize wildlife disturbance.

Moyar River & Gorge

Viewed during safariSouthern boundary

This southern river acts as a natural boundary separating Bandipur from Mudumalai. Deep natural gorges border the water. It is a prime location to watch animals descend to the banks to drink, especially during the dry summer months.

Forest Waterholes

Viewed during safariTiger viewing spots

Natural ponds and solar-pump restored watering holes dot the core zone. These spots act as vital lifelines for animals during seasonal droughts. Ask your driver to pause near the water. Waiting quietly often leads to big cat sightings.
